 Background:

Access Center for Human Rights (ACHR) works towards guaranteeing the right to human dignity for refugees and arbitrary detainees in several countries, starting in Lebanon. ACHR also aspires to expand its work to refugees in other countries. building on the principle of personal security, dignified living and shelter, and the freedom of mobility.

It also prioritizes the promotion of equity in a dignified work and the freedom of thought and expression, through providing legal support and representation to defend refugees causes. Monitoring and documenting violations, as well as mobilizing local and international public opinion around those violations. refer these violations legally to international legal entities to build a culture of protection and value towards the rights of refugees and guarantee their freedom in pursuing their needs.

About The Position:

The Program Manager reports directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for planning, designing and implementing the different projects at ACHR.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate project activities, from substantive, administrative, and financial perspectives, utilizing strategic planning.
  • Monitor day-to-day project implementation and overall outcome coordination, ensuring effective collaboration among staff members.
  • Provide effective leadership by supporting and mentoring the team, participating in transparent recruitment, and ensuring efficient HR management.
  • Develop new templates and setup tools to execute the Program.
  • Prepare Terms of Reference describing the roles, responsibilities, organization, policies, procedures, quality assurance, and evaluation criteria.
  • Develop and supervise the annual work plans and budgets and present to the Executive Director for approval.
  • Receive reports from subordinates and send regular report to the Executive Director.
  • Monitoring partnerships, drafting proposal for upcoming projects, and updating activities plan in accordance with donors’ contracts.
  • Represent ACHR, as required, before other UN organizations, donor organizations, other international organizations, as well as national government and non-governmental institutions and endeavour to build professional relationships with local, district and regional authorities to ensure the full the identification, planning and execution of ACHR activities.
  • Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, including funders and donors.
  • Track administrative and legal papers in France

Qualifications:

Education A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as international relations, political science, human rights, law, or a related social science field. Or a master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
Demonstrated depth of experience and effectiveness preferably in a projects management.
Technical Skills · Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.)

·Comfort with using email/Zoom/ MS Teams and instant messaging as a primary means of communication

Languages Fluency in Arabic and English

 Experience:

  • 6 years of experience in project management related to human rights, with a focus on refugee rights.
  • Prior work with human rights organizations, research institutions, or similar entities.
  • Familiarity with international human rights instruments, treaties, and conventions, particularly those related to refugees, such as the Refugee Convention and its protocols.

Working conditions:
