The continued suspension of refugees’ education despite human rights recommendations

The Lebanese government resumes the suspension of education for Syrian refugee students, depriving them of their fundamental rights. At the same time, several local and international human rights organizations issued multiple statements calling on the Lebanese government to address the unrest in the public education sector, especially after the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE) received funding for public education from the 5Y plan, which promotes an inclusive approach to both Lebanese and Syrian refugee students.
